Joe Nuttall has expressed his delight at grabbing his first league goal for Blackpool in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Ipswich Town.
The striker was called up to the starting XI for the game after top scorer Armand Gnanduillet was ruled out with a slight injury, and Nuttall delivered scoring a rebounded effort to level the scores at 1-1 in the first half.
“I’m delighted to finally get off the mark,” he said.
“It’s been a long time coming and I’ve had to be patient to get my chance because the boys have been playing so well recently.
“It was a fantastic ball in from James Husband too. He’s been doing that all season really, as has Liam Feeney on the other side.
“It’s down to the strikers to bury the chances they create, so to do that and get a great point at Ipswich, who are going to be up near the top come the end of the season, is great from all of the lads.
“Personally, to come in and make an impact was exactly what I wanted to do, so I’m delighted and long may it continue.”
