Simon Grayson is wary of Burton’s ruthlessness going into Saturday’s Sky Bet League One encounter at the Pirelli Stadium.
The Brewers currently lie in 13th place in the league table – three places below Blackpool – but Grayson feels it will be a tough test for the Seasiders.
“I watched them last week against Fleetwood, and it was a really open and expansive game,” he said.
“I don’t think Fleetwood particularly deserved to win by the 4-1 margin, as the game really could have ended 6-6.
“They’re a ruthless team and have different ways of playing at times, and that’s down to the Manager (Nigel Clough). He’s very much like his dad was as a manager – he does things off the cuff and sometimes out of the ordinary, and that’s what makes him good at what he does.
“We’re going there to win and believe we can do that so long as we match everything they throw at us and make sure we ask enough questions of the opposition. If we do that, we can build on Tuesday’s result and gain the three points.”
