Grayson: We're In A Good Position

Best Still To Come, Says Manager

11 October 2019

Simon Grayson says he's pleased with Blackpool's current position in the Sky Bet League One table, given that his side are to hit peak form.

The Seasiders have had to battle in recent weeks without some key attacking personnel but continue to pick up valuable points.

"We’re in a good position. I still think that we’ve got quite a bit to go before we’re the finished article. We’re still building on things that we need to do," the manager admitted.

"As a manager, to be thinking that you’re not firing on all cylinders and be fourth in the division, you’d take that any day of the week."

Blackpool will aim to push further up the league when hosting Rotherham United tomorrow, with the visitors set to offer a different challenge that will need to be overcome.

"Rotherham will be workmanlike and have got some more aerial threats. It’s a different type of game that we have to deal with.

"Ultimately, we’re at home and we have to take the game to them a little bit more," Grayson added.
