Simon Grayson has expressed his happiness at the determination and desire within his squad ahead of the visit of Wycombe Wanderers this evening.
The Seasiders currently sit just outside the play-off places coming into tonight’s match at Bloomfield Road, with a win potentially lifting the team into the top six once again.
Looking ahead to the match, the manager insists there is a real feel-good feeling within the squad.
“I think we’ve got a really good honest bunch of players,” he said.
“Looking back, as a player I’ve been in some teams where we maybe didn’t have the greatest ability but we made up for it in spirit, determination and desire, which ultimately led to promotions and cup victories.
“That’s something I’ve tried to re-create as a manager everywhere I’ve been, including here at Blackpool, and I think we’ve got that now having been here for a good few months.
“Change doesn’t just happen overnight – it happens over a long period of time, and from where we were as a club six months ago we’ve made some real progress both on and off the field, so long may it continue.”
