Ben Heneghan was pretty blunt in his assessment of Blackpool’s stalemate at Bolton and insists the players must put demands on each other.
The defender, who put in a typical no-nonsense performance at the back, was happy with the shut-out at one end, yet bitterly frustrated not to see the team threaten at the other.
“It wasn’t that entertaining (as a game) to be honest. We’re happy with the clean sheet, but we’ve got to create more. It’s as simple as that really,” he said.
“We’ve got to put demands on ourselves and other people throughout the squad. We all want to get up there in the league, so we’ve got to demand more and we’ve got to create. I think we had one shot on target, and that’s not good enough.
“We got into every game thinking we can win it. There’s no hiding from that, we want three points every single game. We expect it, and we’ve got to put that into action really and make it count on the pitch.”
