The Big Preview: Rotherham United (H)

Seasiders Back In Action At Bloomfield Road

11 October 2019

Blackpool make a welcome return to Saturday action with a home game against Rotherham United tomorrow, kick-off 3pm.

The Seasiders, unbeaten in four matches, will aim to make it consecutive victories on home turf, having beaten Lincoln City when last at Bloomfield Road.

Rotherham, meanwhile, ended Coventry City's unbeaten start to the season last weekend, winning 4-0 against the Sky Blues.

Team News:

The injured trio of Nathan Delfouneso, Sullay Kaikai and Joe Nuttall continue to be assessed ahead of the fixture. Jordan Thompson and Rocky Bushiri miss out due to international commitments.

Former Pool striker Kyle Vassell hasn't featured for Rotherham since August and though back training, isn't expected to make the trip to the seaside. The Millers also have a slight concern over the availability of summer signing Freddie Ladapo, who was forced off in a Trophy tie in midweek with a hamstring issue.

The Manager's View:

The Referee:

Christopher Pollard will referee the encounter at Bloomfield Road, having officiated seven matches so far this season, five of which have been in Sky Bet League Two.

Promoted to the EFL list this summer, he is yet to oversee a game involving either of tomorrow's two teams.
