Ewan Bange and Tony Weston both hit braces as the youth team recorded a 4-1 victory against Port Vale in the North West Youth Alliance.
The pair made vital contributions in a dominant performance on the road, with the under-18s setting their stall out from the off.
It took just 12 minutes for the opener to come. A corner whipped in by Rob Apter was met by Bange, who made no mistake from 10-yards out.
Seven minutes later, Bange and Blackpool had their second of the game. The Port Vale ‘keeper couldn’t hold onto a fierce Blackpool strike from the edge of the area, giving Bange the opportunity to pounce and turn the ball home.
Port Vale then reduced the deficit a minute before half-time, providing hope for a comeback in the second-half.
However, Blackpool scored a third in the 55th minute to put the team back in a commanding position. Nana Adarkwa played a sublime ball down the left channel for Tony Weston to run on to, he then burst into the 12 yard-box and slotted past the keeper.
A much-quieter second-half was then rounded off with another Weston goal, rounding off a strong display for Danny Ventre’s side.
