Matty Virtue's first goal of the season helped Blackpool rescue a point away at Accrington last weekend.
But what has been his favourite goal of his career so far? And what rule in football would he like to change?
We recently caught up with the midfielder to find out...
Who was your sporting hero growing up?
Steven Gerrard. He was the first name I had on my shirt.
What’s the best bit of advice you’ve taken on board?
Michael Beale, a coach at Liverpool, used to say, ‘don’t look sideways for competition, only look at it as motivation’. I always remember that one.
If you could change one rule in football, what would it be?
Have kick-ins instead of throw-ins.
Do you have any pre-match superstitions?
I always put my right sided things on before my left.
Favourite goal you’ve scored in your career so far?
Probably the one versus Bradford, when I ran 50-yards and smashed it in.
What football boots are you currently wearing?
Nike Phantom Venom I think they’re called.
What would you have been if not a footballer?
I’d have liked to have been a golfer, but I’m not good enough! I would have gone to Uni. I was good at economics.
What is your favourite film?
I like Inception.
If a film was made of your life, who would you cast to play yourself?
Jake Gyllenhaal, I like him.
Alongside yourself, name another four players who would make up your ultimate five-aside team.
I’d have Alisson in goal, Eden Hazard, Ronaldo and I’m going to say John Stones for my defender. I think he’d be good for a five-aside team.
