James Husband says he’s starting to find his rhythm at Blackpool following his season-long loan move from Norwich City.
The left wing-back has been playing catch up somewhat in the early stages of the campaign, having gone without a full pre-season and then missing three games due to being sent off at Southend United.
“I didn’t have a pre-season, so I’ve just started to find my rhythm slowly but surely,” Husband admitted. “The three-game suspension didn’t help, and it was a silly mistake by myself. I can only learn from that. I think my performances are slowly, slowly starting to increase.
“You can train until you’re blue in the face but it’s a completely different game out there. It’s just tiny little things that you can’t really replicate on training field that happen in a game. That’s slowly starting to come.”
Though matches are certainly helping the 25-year-old to reach full sharpness, the whole team has benefited from a full week on the training ground this week after losing out to Coventry last weekend.
“It’s been back to basics this week. It was a bit of a reality check for us in the end. We’ve ironed out a few things and hopefully we get three points on Saturday now.
“It’s a self-confident group and the gaffer has brought in players that know what they’re doing in this league in and out. We’re all set for the game (against MK Dons).”
