Blackpool FC is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Alex Fojticek on a one-year-deal with the Club holding an option to extend by a further year.
The 20-year-old joins on a free transfer from Manchester United, whom he left in June after spending four years in their Academy.
The Slovakian shot stopper has been on trial with the Seasiders for a number of weeks during pre-season, and has impressed to secure a permanent contract with the Club. Fojticek will provide competition in goal alongside Chris Maxwell and Jack Sims.
On signing for the Seasiders, Fojticek said:

“This is a Club that is going in the right direction and there is a real feel good factor around the place.
“I’m looking forward to developing under Steve Banks and helping the Club push on.”
Goalkeeping Coach Steve Banks said:
“Alex has impressed us since joining on trial a few weeks back.
“His commanding presence in the box is a real asset and he further strengthens the goalkeeping position at the Club.”
Neil Critchley added:
“Alex will bring a good amount of competition to the goalkeeping position, which will be vital for the coming season.
“He has done well with us while on trial here and has a good hard working attitude. We’re pleased to have him on board.”
