Blackpool will travel to National League North side Southport FC tomorrow afternoon, in the first match of the Seasiders 20/21 pre-season schedule.
The match will see Neil Critchley’s side return to action for the first time in almost five months following football’s suspension in mid-March and will present the perfect opportunity for the side to return to meaningful action.
The match, which kicks-off at 3pm at Haig Avenue, will take place strictly behind closed. However, the Club will be live streaming the match over on our YouTube channel from 2:50pm.
Full coverage of the match and post-match reaction will also be available across the Club’s social media channels.
Further details of the Club’s pre-season plans will be published in due course, with the Club doing everything possible to ensure supporters are kept up to date about the rest of pre-season as soon as possible.
Southport FC will also be streaming the game and have set-up a donation page to help them through their financial troubles presented by the pandemic and the resultant lockdown. You can find out more and donate here.
To reiterate, Saturday’s match will take place behind closed doors, with no supporters allowed entry. We would ask supporters to not travel to the game and to respect the current Government advice connected to Covid-19.
