Neil Critchley was once again delighted with his side, after showing battling spirit and fight to beat league leaders Hull City at Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool responded expertly well to going a goal behind and conceding a late equaliser to then go down the other end in added time to claim the three points, and the Head Coach was left pleased with his side’s character to respond to the setbacks.
“To win the game in that manner is really satisfying,” Critchley said.
“I thought we edged it and were the better team. The lads have showed tremendous spirit and character over the course of the season so far, and there’s a real bunch of men in that dressing room who will give everything for the shirt and for the supporters.
“That’s the first time this season that we have come from behind and won, and we told the lads that at full time,” Critchley added.
“That can be a real asset to have. To bounce back from going a goal down and to conceding a late equaliser is a great achievement, and the team will take a lot from that.
“We’re showing a real good period of form and consistency and that is great to see. To win a game in that fashion is fantastic and I couldn’t be more pleased with the players after tonight.”
