Top of the table Hull City visit Bloomfield Road this evening, as the Seasiders look to continue their good run of form over recent weeks.
Blackpool have recorded five consecutive clean sheets and suffered just one defeat in 11 matches coming into Tuesday’s game.
Hull, meanwhile, have won just once in their last five matches in all competitions, suffering defeat last time out in a 1-0 home defeat to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday. The Tigers did have an impressive November though, winning six consecutive matches, which sees them currently sit top of the Sky Bet League One table coming into this evening’s game.
The Seasiders will need to be wary of frontman Malik Wilks. The 22-year-old has bagged eight goals this season, and supplied his team-mates with several assists, to become a key player for Grant McCann’s side.
Last Time We Met:
Blackpool welcomed Hull to Bloomfield Road on New Years Day in 2013. The Sky Bet Championship clash ended goalless, with Hull going on to gain promotion to the Premier League that season.
“Hull have responded well to suffering relegation last season. For them to go on the run they did at the back-end of last season which resulted in them coming down to League One, and turn it around and currently sit top of the table is a fantastic achievement. A lot of credit needs to go to Grant McCann and his staff for how they have done."
“We’ll pick a team that’s right to go to Blackpool to try and get a result. We’ve got quite a quick turnaround before we play Portsmouth on Friday night.”
