James Husband struggled to pick fault with the performance in Blackpool’s narrow 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers.
The Seasiders led through Gary Madine’s goal on just two minutes, but were pegged back through two late second half goals from the hosts to suffer another defeat on the road.
“It’s been a tough week for us with everything that’s happened,” Husband admitted.
“Today’s defeat probably sums things up for us at the moment. To a man, I can’t fault the boys. The first goal is so far out which the defender hits from a long distance, and the second is a huge deflection.
“When things are going against you, it’s really tough and that’s the place we’re in at the moment, but I’m really proud of my team mates after today.
“As players we’ve got to take responsibility for what happened this week and for the past few weeks as a whole. We need to roll our sleeves up and dig deep. I feel we did that against Bristol Rovers, and put in a performance worthy for all of the supporters who travelled. We just need to find that bit of luck and kick on from there, which with this set of lads in the dressing room, is not far away.”
