Blackpool Football Club is delighted to announce a new Backing Grassroots initiative for the remainder of the season.
Working in partnership with the Poulton & District Primary League, which runs leagues for 37 clubs and has more than 325 teams registered to its competitions, the Club is launching a new grassroots team ticket scheme, starting with our next two home fixtures against Southend United (Saturday 8 February, kick-off 3pm) and Gillingham (Tuesday 11 February, kick-off 7.45pm).
Director Brett Gerrity and Martin Booker, Business Development Manager, attended Monday night’s PDPL secretaries meeting to present the new scheme to all grassroots clubs.
Martin Booker said:
“The Club is keen re-connect with all junior football clubs across the Fylde Coast and with 10 home games to go in in the league this season, this grassroots initiative provides a great opportunity to see younger fans return in numbers to Bloomfield Road and get Backing Blackpool.”
Team Ticket – How it works:
The complimentary team ticket offer for managers and players under 16 has been communicated by the PDPL committee to all club secretaries at junior affiliated clubs, who in turn will issue the vouchers to all managers. The tickets will be designated for the ‘Merlin’ Family Stand and will be subject to availability on a first come, first served basis.
Team Tickets to be claimed from the Blackpool FC Ticket Office from today up to Thursday 6 February between the hours of 9am and 5pm, on production of a fully completed Team Ticket Voucher issued to the clubs earlier this week.
Additional Tickets for friends/family:
Additional Tickets for family members can be purchased in the same stand, but we cannot guarantee that these will be in same row/vicinity.
- £20 Adults / £18 Seniors
- £18 17-21-year-olds
- £10 12-16 year-olds
- £5 5-11-year-olds / Under 5s Free (with full paying adult/senior)
Terms and Conditions – Team Ticket Offer:
1) These tickets are non transferable. 2) U16 Children’s tickets must not be used by adults and seniors. Turnstile checks will be in place on both these fixtures. 3) Anyone found to be misusing these tickets on social media to sell or pass on to third parties etc will be prevented from taking further ticketing initiatives. This is a grassroots initiative by Blackpool FC for junior teams only.
Next Steps - Club of the Day:
Longer term the Club will draw out a PDPL member club for each remaining league fixture designating them ‘Club of the Day’, inviting all players and managers from the chosen club to a home game. These draws will be communicated on all Blackpool FC media channels.
We thank the PDPL for its support and look forward to welcoming all junior teams across the Fylde Coast back to Bloomfield Road, starting this weekend.
