Blackpool take another journey south this weekend in a trip to AFC Wimbledon.
The Dons come into Saturday’s match just above the relegation zone in 20th place, but are seven points clear of 21st placed Tranmere Rovers. The Club haven’t tasted victory in their last six matches, a run stretching back to mid-January, where they narrowly defeated Peterborough United in a 1-0 victory at Kingsmeadow.
Glyn Hodges' side will undoubtedly be looking to put their last result firmly behind them, succumbing to a 5-0 thumping at Oxford United on Tuesday evening. That defeat at the Kassam Stadium means AFC Wimbledon have, in fact, lost 50% of their league matches so far this season, losing 16 of 32 matches.
Despite their poor form, Wimbledon have only lost the majority of their matches by a single goal against the likes of Portsmouth, Fleetwood Town and Accrington Stanley.
The Seasiders secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the reverse fixture at Bloomfield Road back in November thanks to an Armand Gnanduillet brace.
Last Three Results:
- 18/2/20 – Oxford United 5-0 AFC Wimbledon
- 15/2/20 – Rotherham United 2-2 AFC Wimbledon
- 11/2/20 – AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Ipswich Town
The Manager: Glyn Hodges

Since his appointment, Hodges has won eight of his first 26 matches. The 56-year-old had a glittering career as a player, making over 200 appearances for Wimbledon as well as playing for the likes of Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United.
The Star Man: Joe Piggott
26-year-old Piggott joined the Dons in 2018 from Maidstone United and has impressed since his arrival making close to 100 appearances and scoring almost 30 goals to date.
The forward is the Club’s leading goalscorer so far this season, after Marcus Forss returned to his parent club Brentford in January. Piggott has seven league goals to his name so far including late winners over Bristol Rovers and Peterborough United.
