Jay Spearing will miss Saturday’s game against Bristol Rovers, Caretaker Manager David Dunn has confirmed.
The skipper sustained a minor concussion against Gillingham in midweek and must now adhere to medical protocol.
However, the 31-year-old still plans to travel with the squad and offer his support in the dressing room.
“Jay’s not going to be available, but he’s still going to come down with us,” Dunn revealed. “He’s a good leader, he’s the captain of the club and he’ll be a good voice to have around for the players as well.”
