The Big Preview: Bristol Rovers (A)

Seasiders Travel To Memorial Stadium

14 February 2020

Blackpool are back on the road this weekend in a trip south to Bristol Rovers.

David Dunn has been placed in charge on an interim basis, following Simon Grayson’s departure earlier in the week. The former Blackburn Rovers man will be looking to put the late defeat to Gillingham last time out firmly behind the squad with a victory at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Both sides come into Saturday’s game in disappointing form. Blackpool have won just one of their last 12 matches, whereas Rovers haven’t enjoyed a league victory in 11 games – a run stretching back to mid-December.

Blackpool lie in 15th position in the league table ahead of kick-off on 37 points – 13 points off of the play-off places. Bristol Rovers sit two places above the Seasiders on 39 points, but Blackpool do have a game in hand over Saturday’s opponents.

If you aren't making the trip to Bristol, we will have full coverage and reaction on as well as on our official social media channels and iFollow channel.

Jay Spearing will miss the match after picking up a head injury and suffering concussion in the Gillingham match. Ryan Edwards could make a welcome return for the Seasiders.
