The Big Preview: Ipswich Town (H)

Tractor Boys Visit Bloomfield Road This Weekend

28 February 2020

Ipswich Town are the visitors to Bloomfield Road on Saturday, as the Seasiders look to claim back-to-back league victories for the first time since mid-November.

Blackpool come into the match on the back of a dramatic 90th minute winner over Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night which saw the Seasiders move two places in the league table up to 14th place.

Ipswich, meanwhile, are in ninth place – three points out of the play-off places with 11 more than Blackpool. The Tractor Boys will be looking to bounce back from their previous result, a 1-0 home defeat to Oxford United. Paul Lambert’s side have won just one of their last six league games, scoring just five goals in the process.

Ipswich have won on their last two visits to Bloomfield Road. A 2-0 victory back in November 2014 secured all three points for the Tractor Boys in their last visit to the Seasiders.

Kayden Jackson and James Norwood are the Club’s top scorers so far this season, both with an impressive 11 goals each, but the duo will miss tomorrow’s match. Norwood is out injured, whereas Jackson is suspended following his red card in the Club’s defeat to Oxford.

Team News

Armand Gnanduillet will miss his third match in a row through injury, but is nearing a return.

As for Ipswich, Kane Vincent-Young and Daniel Rowe are likely to miss out along with Kayden Jackson and James Norwood.
