Blackpool welcome Southend United on Saturday, looking to put recent poor form behind them.
The Seasiders haven’t tasted victory in ten matches, and will be looking for the recent influx of new signings throughout January to secure the all important three points this time around.
A total of 11 players could potentially make home debuts tomorrow, with Grant Ward the only winter arrival to have taken to the pitch at Bloomfield Road to date.
As for Southend, the club currently lie deep in a relegation battle with 16 matches to go. The club sit in 22nd place, 12 points clear of safety, having only tasted victory three times in the league this season. The club are in relatively good form however, winning two of their last three matches against Accrington Stanley and Lincoln City, respectively.
Blackpool will be looking to do the double over Southend tomorrow, having secured a comfortable 3-1 victory at Roots Hall in the reverse fixture back in August. Nathan Delfouneso scored a brace along with a Southend own goal securing the three points.
Sullay Kaikai remains sidelined for the Seasiders. James Husband and Ryan Edwards, who have been out injured for the past few weeks, could make a return. Jak Alnwick continues to be sidelined.
As for Southend, John White and Harry Phillips are out through injury.
Anthony Backhouse will be the referee for tomorrow’s match.
