Simon Grayson is expecting further incomings and outgoings to his Blackpool squad in the coming days.
The Seasiders have been one of the busiest clubs in the January transfer window to date, by making four additions to the squad. Grant Ward, Jordan Thorniley and Marc Bola have joined, whilst Ben Heneghan has extended his loan deal until the end of the season. The likes of Chris Mafoumbi and Ryan Hardie have also departed on loan to Morecambe and Plymouth Argyle, respectively.
Speaking about the continuing speculation of further business, Grayson has explained he expects further deals to be done.
“We’ve been busy so far and we expect this to continue,” he said.
“We’ve got one or two of our players who are in talks with other clubs at this moment in time, whilst we are active ourselves.
“We’ve been working on things for the past ten days or so, with players coming in and out of the football club, so we’ll see what happens in the coming days.”
With four arrivals already in the window, the manager has been pleased with the business that’s been done.
“It’s been a pleasing January in terms of transfers already,” he said.
“The players that have left, we’ve replaced with good quality lads. The majority of the players we’ve brought in have been from higher divisions, which says a lot about us as a football club.
“We’ll only bring in the right player that can strengthen us, and we’ll keep working hard to ensure we have as strong a squad as possible.”
