Blackpool are out of this season's Emirates FA Cup, falling to a 2-0 home defeat to Reading.
Lucas Boye's first half goal was doubled by Jordan Obita's header late in the second half to send the visiting Royals through to the fourth round of the competition, at the expense of the Seasiders.
It was a quiet start at Bloomfield Road, with both sides finding their feet in windy conditions. Lucas Boye tried his luck from distance for the visitors on 13 minutes, but his effort went high and wide of Mark Howard’s goal.
With 20 minutes gone, Armand Gnanduillet attempted a first time volley from inside the penalty area, but the cross from Liam Feeney went just behind the striker and his effort went wide of the goal.
Callum Guy had the best chance in the first half for Blackpool on 34 minutes. A lovely bit of play down the left hand side left Jay Spearing in space to find Guy on the edge of the area, who drove his first time effort just wide of Reading’s goal.
With two minutes to go until the half-time interval, Reading found the back of the net. Lucas Boye lapsed on a loose touch from Jay Spearing to stab the ball under Mark Howard’s legs from four yards out and give the away side the lead at the interval.

The Seasiders had a fantastic chance to equalise in the opening five minutes of the second half. A smart bit of play down the left, resulted in Matty Virtue squandering a great opportunity to score with a diving heard at the far post. Somehow, Sam Walker denied him from just four yards out, and the ball was eventually cleared away by Reading.
At the other end, Michael Olise stung the palms of Mark Howard with a free-kick on the edge of the area just five minutes later.
With 64 minutes on the clock, Nathan Delfouneso forced Sam Walker into a stunning save. Ollie Turton fed a ball in on the right to the unmarked Delfouneso, who placed a header to the far post, but Walker tipped it behind expertly with a diving save to his right.
Reading had a wonderful chance to double their lead on 70 minutes through Lucas Boye. The striker worked some space on the edge of the area and released a powerful effort, with the crossbar denying him a wonderful goal.
They didn't waste another opportunity and the visitors doubled their lead with just eight minutes remaining thanks to Jordan Obita’s header – his first saved by Howard, but the full-back followed up with the second, slipping it past the goalkeeper at the near post.
