Blackpool Football Club can announce the return of striker Gary Madine on an 18-month contract.
The 29-year-old, who had a brief stint with the Seasiders in 2015, arrives back at Bloomfield Road on a free transfer, having most recently played for Cardiff City.
A four-time promotion winner, Madine helped fire Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers to the Championship in 2012 and 2017 respectively, scoring a combined total of 54 goals in his time with the two sides.
Born in Gateshead, he started his playing career with Carlisle United and last term helped Sheffield United reach the Premier League during a key stage of the season.
Chief Executive Ben Mansford said:
“Owner Simon Sadler has been incredibly supportive in helping to make this deal happen. Gary was our number one striking target in this window, so we are absolutely delighted to bring him back to Blackpool. He has a fantastic record at this level and we firmly believe he will help us realise our ambitions as a Club. Welcome back, Gary.”
