Blackpool Football Club has reached an agreement with Championship side Reading to sign right-back Teddy Howe.
The 21-year-old, who faced the Seasiders twice in the Emirates FA Cup earlier this month, has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal plus 12-month option.
A regular in the Royals’ under-23 setup, Howe departs the Madejski having made a total of six appearances for the first-team, including five this season.
Manager Simon Grayson said:
“Teddy is a player who impressed us in the two matches we played against Reading. He’s full of enthusiasm, energy and drive and we’re looking forward to working with him. He’s another player who offers different qualities to what we have here already.”
Teddy Howe added:
“I played against Blackpool twice and I kind of know what they’re about, which is obviously good for me to come here and try and bring my own style into the game. I’m glad to be here and can’t wait to get going.”
