Neil Critchley was pleased with what he saw from his squad - particularly in the first half - in the 0-0 draw at Fleetwood Town.
Blackpool dominated the first 45 minutes at Highbury, in what was Critchley's first match in charge of the Seasiders, and the Head Coach was happy with what he saw from his new squad.
"I thought we were the team in control of the game in the first half," Critchley said.
"We were in their half a lot and kept the ball really well. The only criticisim would be we didn't quite turn the possession we had into clear cut opportunities.
"In the second half, I would have liked us to have kept the ball a little bit better, but looking at the overall 90 minutes, I'm really pleased."
Critchley was particularly pleased with the overall defensive side of his team at Highbury in the 0-0 stalemate.
"I thought our shape and what we worked on looked really good," he said.
"I think we stood up to Fleetwood's threats really well, and did well to combat them. These are all good signs and we're looking forward to another good test at home to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday."
