Neil Critchley was pleased to see Luke Garbutt play the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s win at Harrogate, as the full-back makes his return from injury.
The 27-year-old hadn’t been involved for six weeks before Saturday’s game, after picking up a hamstring injury in the draw at Crewe Alexandra in mid-October.
Garbutt made an impressive return to action on Saturday, proving a real threat from set-piece situations, with his second half corner kick providing the opening goal of the match.
“It was great for Luke to be back out there and get a full 90 minutes under his belt,” Critchley said.
“We were mindful during the game, and continued to keep and eye on him and remained in dialogue with him, as he continues his return from injury.
“Thankfully, Luke and all of the other lads came through Saturday’s game without any notable issues, which is a real help to us given how busy the next few weeks are.”
