Blackpool Head Coach Neil Critchley has confirmed that duo Keshi Anderson and Luke Garbutt are close to returning to full training.
The Seasiders’ summer signings, who picked up injuries in the games against Ipswich Town and Crewe Alexandra, will miss out when Blackpool welcome Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening.
Critchley, however, is hopeful that the pair will be welcomed back to full training soon, as they continue to make good progress on their recoveries.
“Keshi and Luke are back on the pitch and doing some ball work. We’re hopeful that one, if not both, will be back in training by the end of the week,” Critchley said.
With Matty Virtue penning a new deal with the Seasiders last month, Critchley insists that the Blackpool midfielder continues to make good progress ahead of his return from injury.
“Matty is probably a little bit further behind those two, “Critchley added, “We’re hopeful that he continues to make progress and that we can see him back out on the pitch very soon.”
