Blackpool will be looking to build on their victory against Burton Albion, as they host Wigan Athletic at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday evening.
The Seasiders will be looking to claim their second win on the bounce for the first time this campaign, as Jerry Yates’ double fired Neil Critchley’s side to a hard-fought victory at the Pirelli Stadium.
Wigan Athletic will be looking to bounce back to winning ways, after their 3-2 defeat against Northampton Town saw them drop to 21st in League One and without a win in their last six league games.
Latics’ last victory away from home came against Portsmouth in September, with goals from Lee Evans and Thomas James earning a valuable three points at Fratton Park.
“We want to build from the victory against Burton and try to get another three points on Tuesday night against Wigan Athletic.
“Wigan have had some really unfortunate circumstances that they’ve found themselves in. They had a fantastic second half of the season, being mid-table in the Championship. It’s not nice for the people at the club or their supporters.”
“We need to win football matches and, at the minute, we’re not winning them.
“You look at the results and we should be doing a lot better, lot better. I’ve just got to keep encouraging the lads, and hopefully the results will turn for us.
Neil Critchley is hopeful that Blackpool pair Keshi Anderson and Luke Garbutt will both return to full training later this week. Though, the Head Coach will be without Dan Ballard and Ethan Robson due to suspension.
