Critchley: We Must Do Better

Head Coach Preview's Burton Albion Clash.

30 October 2020

Neil Critchley insists that his players must improve in certain departments, ahead of Blackpool’s visit to Burton Albion on Saturday.

The Seasiders come off the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday evening, with Neil Critchley’s side searching for their first away win of the campaign.

Reflecting on a frustrating defeat on Tuesday evening, Neil Critchley believes his players deserved more from the game.

“The players responded brilliantly well in tough circumstances on Tuesday,” he said.

“I think we deserved a bit of luck from that game for our effort on the pitch. We threw everything at them and tried to get the equaliser.”

Ahead of another difficult test at the Pirelli Stadium, the Head Coach has full confidence that his players can turn the results in their favour.

“If we keep working together and improve on the little aspects, I believe we can change the results very quickly.

“I think as a group we can do more together on the pitch. We’re well aware of the position that we’re in, we want to improve and we’re frustrated. There’s only us that can do something about that.”

Critchley also confirmed that Blackpool defender James Husband will be available for selection after serving his two-match suspension.

“Husband will be free from suspension. The other boys that are injured won’t make this weekend.

“They had a very good result against Peterborough on Tuesday night, coming from behind twice to get a good point.”
