Blackpool will be looking to put their midweek defeat firmly behind them, as they welcome MK Dons to Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
The Seasiders will be looking to rediscover their winning touch, after Chuks Aneke’s late goal condemned Neil Critchley’s side to a late defeat on Tuesday evening.
MK Dons will also be looking to get back to winning ways, after they suffered their fourth defeat of the campaign in a 3-2 defeat against Oxford United.
Despite Cameron Jerome equalising to score his second goal since arriving on a free transfer, Oxford put the game beyond doubt in the second half courtesy of goals from Sam Long and Olamide Shodipo. Though, an impressive victory over Gillingham previously will give Russell Martin’s side some confidence ahead of their trip to Bloomfield Road.
“They’ve caused problems for a number of teams. They’re trying to find some consistency to their performances like ourselves, but they play good football and they will want to have a lot of ball.
“They score goals, but they’ve conceded a few at the other end as well. Every game in this division is a tough game, there’s not a lot between the teams.”
“I really like the way they play. They’ve had a lot of change in personnel, so it takes time to adapt. They’re a really good side and carry a lot of threat and I think they will climb up the table very quickly.
“We’ve had some brilliant performances in away games and haven’t had the results we should have. We need to find that killer instinct to pick up three points away from home. It’s a really good opportunity on Saturday for us to bounce back and put in a good performance.”
Critchley has been handed major boosts ahead of the clash on Saturday. Sullay Kaikai has returned to training and is available for selection after recovering from injury. Ben Woodburn is also fully fit to feature, despite coming off against Charlton Athletic with a slight injury concern.
