Williams: Pleased To Be Involved

Midfielder Relishing More Opportunities.

23 October 2020

Jordan Williams insists he is determined to help Blackpool move in the right direction, with the midfielder reflecting on his recent run in the side.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who signed for the Seasiders in August, has impressed in the last two games after playing the full 90 minutes on both occasions.

Reflecting on a difficult run of form for the Seasiders, Williams insists that Blackpool have positives to take from their performances and believes they will get the results they deserve.

“I think our performances have been good. The results haven’t gone our way and that needs to change, but I’m sure with the group of players that we have, then that will change very quickly,” Williams said.

“If we keep working hard as we are and take on board everything the gaffer is telling us, then I’m sure the results will come quickly. We need to put it right on Saturday.

After starting the last two games, Williams is keen to build on his performances and reflected on his time since joining the club from Rochdale in August.

"I'm pleased to have been involved recently and I'm loving every minute of it. I want to give everything I have for this football club so that we can move in a positive direction."

“I remember as a kid watching Blackpool in the Premier League. Before joining I knew what a good club it was. We just want to make the fans proud and that’s what we’ll be looking to do on Saturday.

Ahead of their clash against MK Dons on Saturday at Bloomfield Road, Williams is hopeful that the Seasiders can get a positive result from the game.

“It’s a massive game. We want to make it another win. We want to build off that winning feeling we had against Swindon.

“We want to get a good result this weekend. They’re a very good footballing team, so it’ll be a tough game. I’m sure if we show our quality we can more than match them and get a positive result from the game.”
