Blackpool midfielder Dan Kemp insists he is ready to step up to the mark and show his qualities, with the summer arrival targeting a successful season with the Club.
The 21-year-old, who joined on a season-long loan deal from West Ham at the start of the month, is determined to prove his worth in tangerine as Neil Critchley’s side visit Gillingham this Saturday.
Kemp made his debut for the Club in the EFL Trophy victory over Barrow A.F.C., before also featuring as a substitute in Blackpool’s victory over Swindon Town last weekend.
Reflecting on the Seasiders’ first three points of the season last weekend, Kemp insists the team are ready to build on their impressive performance ahead of their visit to Priestfield tomorrow.
“It was a massive three points”, Kemp said.
“It was important we got the result and got off the mark for the season. We’re looking to build on that performance and hopefully get another big result.
“It was amazing to have some of the fans back, we’ve missed it so much. It was great to have them back and hopefully we can see them at games again soon.”
The summer signing insists he is determined to show the Blackpool faithful his qualities and help the Club push towards their ambitions for the 20/21 campaign.
“I’ve loved my time here so far. All the lads and the gaffer have made me feel so welcome.
“I’m looking forward to showing my quality when I get the chance. As the season gets on, I’ll get better and learn everyday playing with these good players in the squad.”
Looking ahead to Saturday’s fixture at Priestfield, Kemp believes it will be a tough test for Blackpool, but admitted the mood in the camp is sky high ahead of the game.
“It’ll be a tough game; Gillingham are always difficult to play against.
“We’re all really confident ahead of the game. I’m sure if we play our best football and perform as we can do, then we can pick up the three points.
