Blackpool travel to Lincoln City on Saturday, looking to cement their position in the play-off places with just nine league games to go.
The Seasiders could make it six consecutive away wins and 14 matches unbeaten with a victory at Sincil Bank, which could also see them climb up to fourth place in the league table.
Just one point separates Blackpool from Saturday’s opponents, with Lincoln sitting in the last play-off space on 62 points.
Despite the weekend’s match pitching two play-off chasing sides against one another, Lincoln have struggled to pick up their electric form from earlier in the season. Managed by former Blackpool boss, Michael Appleton, the Imps have won just two of their last 13 matches in Sky Bet League One.
Marvin Ekpiteta and James Husband have been back in training and could feature at the weekend, after recovering from their respective injuries. Keshi Anderson, who has been missing for several months, has been back out on the grass and continues his rehabilitation.
Last Time We Met:
The Imps took all three points in the last match at Bloomfield Road back in October. Lewis Montsma’s 88th minute header secured the victory in a 3-2 win.
The Key Player: Anthony Scully
21-year-old Anthony Scully signed for Lincoln from West Ham United in the summer of 2020. The Republic of Ireland U21 international forward has an impressive 13 goals to his name in all competitions in his first season at Sincil Bank. He is not the Imps’s top scorer though, with Jorge Grant who is on 15 goals, missing through injury.
