Grant Ward hailed the team’s overall performance in Tuesday night’s victory over Sunderland.
The Seasiders secured their first double over Sunderland since the 1950’s in the victory, courtesy of Sullay Kaikai’s wonder strike in the second half.
Ward, who was instrumental for the Seasiders in midfield, was delighted to see the side get back to winning ways.
“We’re all buzzing and it was a big win,” he said.
“I think everyone in the team was outstanding. We changed the system a bit and I think maybe that surprised a few people. We attacked well and pressed well throughout and I think we were the dominant side at times.
“It’s another big win for us and confidence is high as we head into the final few games. We had a couple of tough results last week but I think we showed on Tuesday what we’re about. We’re hopeful and confident over the last few games we can build on the win and push on.”
