Neil Critchley was pleased to see his side continue their good form, with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Charlton Athletic.
The Seasiders scored three goals without reply at the Valley to make it three straight wins in Sky Bet League One, having also not conceded a goal in over four hours of football.
“I thought we showed a real authority in our game and deserved the win,” Critchley said.
“Our play without the ball at times was really good, and that gave us the platform to build on that in counter-attacking situations. I thought we grew into the game and one or two little moments of quality have won us the game.
“We capitalised on the little spaces we knew they would leave, so to come away from a place like this with all three points is very pleasing.”
Reflecting on the game, Critchley paid particular tribute to the front pair of Jerry Yates and Ellis Simms.
“I thought they were a real handful all afternoon,” he said.
“We highlighted before the game that we thought we could have some success against their two centre-halves in running off them and in behind them. Ellis did exactly that to win the first penalty, for example.
“Jerry did very well in dispatching his penalties and we’ve seen the game out comfortably in the end.”
