Neil Critchley says Blackpool will continue to monitor the recovery of Gary Madine, as the striker waits for a troublesome injury to calm down.
The forward has sat out the Seasiders' last two league fixtures with a groin problem, however it is hoped he may be able to return sooner rather than later.
"Gary has had some injections in his groin area and you have to let that settle down with a period off the grass," Critchley confirmed.
"Hopefully at some stage this week he will return to the grass, do some strengthening work and allow that area of his body to settle down.
"When he does return, he won't be too long and we can step that work up quite quickly."
Elsewhere, Ethan Robson returned to training today, though Matty Virtue will be assessed ahead of the Burton match after picking up a knock in the game at Ipswich.
"Matty has got a bit of a dead leg from Saturday and that's why he came off. It's improved over the weekend and we're hopeful that he'll train and still be up for selection."
