New loan signing Elliot Embleton is relishing the opportunity to showcase his abilities while spending the remainder of the season at Blackpool.
The attacking midfielder joined the Seasiders from Sunderland on deadline day and linked up with the squad for his first session on the Fylde Coast on Thursday.
Eligible to make his debut at Ipswich Town this weekend, the 21-year-old is looking forward to working under Neil Critchley, who has tracked his progress for some time, as well as getting out on the pitch in tangerine.
“He said that he’d watched me play in the under-18s and under-23s and thought I had something that would add to the squad. When he said that, I jumped to get it signed and come down straight away,” Embleton revealed following a call with the Seaisders’ Head Coach.
“This is a good chance to show what I’m about and get some more game time. I’ve had a few starts here and there, but it’s been a bit stop-start with Covid and all that. I’m just hoping to get a run of games in and show everyone what I can do.”
