CJ Hamilton is edging closer to a return to action after training with the first-team squad again today.
The winger, who was filmed kicking a ball again last week, resumed full contact this afternoon after being sidelined with a hamstring problem since late December.
“CJ has been back on the grass for a couple of weeks now. He’s happy and smiling and he’s ready to come back into training with the squad," Neil Critchley said.
“With us having so many games, we won’t be doing lots of training between them – it’ll be more about rest, recovery and preparing tactically for the game.
“We have to make sure that CJ gets the right level of training before we integrate him back into the first-team squad (for matches), but we want to do that as quickly and as safely as possible.
“To have him back on the grass and joining in full team training again will be a lift for him and us.”
