Neil Critchley was full of praise for his side, following the 2-0 win at Oxford which made it nine games without defeat for Blackpool.
The Seasiders were the dominant side at the Kassam Stadium, comfortably dispatching Oxford with two first half goals from Kenny Dougall and Dan Ballard.
“I thought we were outstanding from the first minute to the last,” Critchley said.
“I can’t praise the players enough. I thought we made a good Oxford team look quite average at times with the way we played.
“We were outstanding with the ball at our feet in the first half and were deservedly 2-0 up at the break, and I think we had some good chances to increase our lead further. I thought defensively we were fantastic too, and looked sharp for the entire match. We were excellent and thoroughly worthy of the win.”
One man who the Head Coach was keen to praise was Kenny Dougall, with his strike his first goal for Blackpool.
“It was a nice moment for Kenny,” Critchley said.
“I thought his general contribution to the game was excellent. His goal came at a good time, as at that moment I think we deserved to go in front.
“Kenny played very well, as did all of the squad. Everyone’s contribution was top drawer.”
