James Husband feels the side dealt with MK Dons well and nullified their threats to pick up another victory and another clean sheet on the road on Tuesday evening.
Husband, who played the match at centre-half alongside Dan Ballard, impressed yet again, helping the Seasiders on their way to another clean sheet.
“MK Dons play a good style of football, but we dealt with it really well,” he said.
“We came into the match with a clear game plan and executed it superbly. The clean sheets are really starting to stack up now, and we should really have had two more in the recent home matches against Crewe and AFC Wimbledon, but that’s football at times.
“I think we can be particularly pleased with the final ten minutes against MK Dons. We defended really well when they were pushing hard for the equaliser, so that’s another good sign that we can put teams to the sword and dig deep when it matters.
“We know we’re capable of shutting teams out in this league, and we’re proving that on a consistent basis now. It’s important we continue to do that between now and the end of the season.”
