Neil Critchley is waiting on a full assessment of the injury that Kevin Stewart picked up in Saturday’s draw with Fleetwood Town.
The midfielder was forced off in the first-half of the encounter and is now set to have a scan on the problem.
“It was a bit of a tangle with one of their players. As he’s gone to ground, the lad has fell on top of him and he was in quite a lot of pain,” Pool’s Head Coach explained.
“Kev wanted to stay on, which is typical Kev, but he’s had some ice on his ankle and has a bit of swelling. We’ll have to see how that settles down in the next 48 hours. He’ll probably go for a scan on that.”
Any period of absence will be a blow for the Seasiders, with Stewart making an immediate impact since joining the club in January.
“He’s been terrific for us so far, a big player for us in the middle of the pitch. Hopefully he’s not going to be out for too long,” Critchley added.
