Jerry Yates heaped praise on the team following Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Peterborough.
Yates grabbed two goals in the victory to take him up to 16 for the season in all competitions, and the Blackpool front man was pleased to keep the side’s impressive form going.
“It was a massive three points, and everyone did their job,” Yates said.
“We knew what was at stake before the game. The lads grafted, put the hard work in and deservedly won the game. Peterborough are a good side going forward so we knew it was going to be a real challenge on the night.
“I think we dealt with them equalising well. We didn’t let our heads drop and came out for the second half remaining confident we could still get the win, which is ultimately what we were able to do.”
Despite being the Club’s top scorer this season, the 24-year-old thanked his team mates for their efforts in supplying him the goals.
“The lads give me the service on a consistent basis, so it’s up to them really. Everyone works hard for the team and we all have a role to play. We’re delighted with the run we’re on and to get back to winning ways at home after the few draws we have had is especially pleasing.”
