CJ Hamilton Returns To Training

CJ Hamilton has handed the Seasiders a boost by returning to first-team training.

The winger, blighted by a metatarsal problem since March, underwent surgery to replace a problematic screw in his foot last month, having started the current campaign playing with pain and irritation in the area.

Now pain free, it is hoped that the 26-year-old will be able to return to the sparkling form that saw him make an immediate impression following a switch from Mansfield Town.

“CJ is back in training now and has been for about a week,” Neil Critchley revealed. “That’s a real, positive step forward for him and us. After his second operation, he feels a lot better. He wasn’t quite right in the first part of the season, which you could see.

“He’s looked good in training so far and I think we’ll all agree that if CJ gets back to where he was, then he’ll be a big player for us.”
