Critchley: A Harsh Scoreline
Neil Critchley felt 3-0 didn't reflect his side's performance, as Blackpool suffered a home defeat to Huddersfield Town.
The Seasiders were in the game at half-time, with the score goalless, but Huddersfield's three goals in 15 second half minutes ensured the visitors took all three points on the evening.
"I think 3-0 is very harsh," Critchley said.
"I didn't think there was a lot between the two team throughout the night. I think we were the better team in the first half, and if anything looked like the team most likely to score. In the second half, we're in a really good attacking position. We've won the ball back and broke up the pitch, but we didn't quite make the most of that situation.
"They then went down the other end and scored a fantastic goal. Our response to that was good. We nearly equalised through Shayne's header at the front post. They then score quickly again through a disappointing header from the corner which was the most frustrating. It was a cheap goal to giveaway, and not like us.
"For the third goal, Marvin's in the corner, it get's cleared away and falls to the lad on the edge of the area, who volleys it at goal, which was another great strike from the lad.
"We are going to lose games this season, as that's the quality of the Championship at times. The good thing is we have a good opportunity to bounce back quickly at Middlesbrough on Saturday, which we are more than capable of doing."
