Critchley: We Grew Into The Game
Neil Critchley felt his side deserved the equaliser and grew into the match, in the pre-season draw at Morecambe.
The hosts took the lead into half-time, but Blackpool fought back through CJ Hamilton's strike on the hour mark.
"We've had different types of tests in pre-season," Critchley said.
"This game was completely different to the one against Burnley on Tuesday night. We had a large majority of the possession in this game, and we had to focus on breaking down a stubborn and resolute defence that put a lot of men behind the ball.
"They were waiting for us to make a mistake and push on for a counter-attack, which they gained success from in the first half. We didn't defend it well enough and were a bit slow with our play.
"Having said that, we had some good moments and grew into the game. I thought we were well on top in the second half and deserved the equaliser. We had some further good opportunities to score, but then had to do a good amount of defending at the end too, which was a really good test for us.
"We've had different types of games in this pre-season, which will really help us going forward over the course of the season."
