Pre-Season Report: Carlisle United 0 Blackpool 1
Blackpool continued their preparations for the new season, with a 1-0 victory at Carlisle United.
Demetri Mitchell's first-half strike was the difference, with the Blackpool winger now on three goals in as many games in pre-season.
Blackpool were showing their dominance throughout the first-half, soaking up a lot of the ball and looking for that killer pass.
CJ Hamilton played a lovely pass along the edge of the box to Keshi Anderson on 20 minutes, with Anderson taking a touch before he had an effort at goal. The powerful shot, though, was blocked out for a corner kick.
Demetri Mitchell was causing all sorts of problems on the right-hand-side, as he has done for much of pre-season so far. It was his strike on 35 minutes which broke the deadlock.
Luke Garbutt played a first-time ball forward, which was flicked on by Keshi Anderson into the path of Mitchell. He collected the ball brilliantly and was left one-on-one with the goalkeeper to simply slot it home.
Blackpool were controlling the game well, and deservedly went into the break a goal up.

The Seasiders were looking to extend their lead further in the second half, with Demetri Mitchell coming close on 50 minutes, cutting in on his right to fire a shot at goal, but it hit the side-netting.
Neil Critchley made eight changes on 65 minutes, bringing on the likes of Richard Keogh and Sonny Carey as well as youngsters such as Jack Moore, Luke Mariette and Ewan Bange.
Despite all of the changes, Blackpool held their own and had to soak up a far bit of pressure in the end, with Zach Clough and Gime Toure coming close, but Blackpool held on to take a deserved victory.
