Preview: Hull City (A)

Blackpool could make it three straight league victories on Tuesday evening, as the Seasiders travel to Hull City in the Sky Bet Championship.

Neil Critchley's men travel to the MKM Stadium after wins at Middlesbrough and at home to Barnsley saw the side climb to 14th in the league table - six points clear of the relegation zone with just nine games played.

Hull, who were crowned champions of Sky Bet League One last season, haven't tasted victory since the opening weekend of the season in a 4-1 win at Preston North End. Since that time, the Tigers have have lost six and drawn two, and sit in 23rd position coming into Tuesday's match.

The Manager: Grant McCann
Grant McCann was appointed Hull manager in June 2019, after successful periods in charge at both Peterborough United and Doncaster Rovers before that. In his first season at Hull, the Tigers suffered relegation, but bounced back immediately by winning Sky Bet League One last season for an immediate return to the Championship.

McCann also counts Barnsley, Cheltenham Town and Notts County on his list of former clubs as a player. He also has 39 caps for Northern Ireland.

The Key Man: Malik Wilks
Initially signed on loan from Barnsley in January 2020, Wilks made the move permanent that summer, playing a huge part in the side's promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship. The winger has also has loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Grimsby Town and Doncaster Rovers.
