Preview: Swansea City (A)

Blackpool return to Sky Bet Championship action this weekend after the recent international break in a trip to Swansea City.

The Seasiders head into the fixture at the Stadium on the back of Friday's news that Head coach Neil Critchley signed an extended contract with the Club, keeping him at Bloomfield Road until the summer of 2026. As such, his side will be hoping to cap off a pleasing day for the Club with a good performance in South Wales - somewhere Blackpool have faired well in recent years.

The Seasiders head into the fixture in tenth place - just a single point below the play-off places, with Swansea two places and two points below them in 12th.

The Manager: Russell Martin
A coach with an impressive resume as a player, Russell Martin has branched out into coaching since his retirement, starting out at MK Dons in 2019. A two year spell there ended in a move too Swansea at the start of this season, after Steve Cooper left the Swans having guided them to the Championship play-off final last season.

The Key Man: Joel Piroe
Forward Joel Piroe has impressed since his million poiund move to Swansea from Rotterdam last summer. In his 13 league starts, he has found the net nine times, including one against Swansea rivals Cardiff City in last month's derby.
