Preview: West Brom (H)

Blackpool host play-off chasing West Brom on Tuesday evening in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Seasiders come into the midweek fixture on the back of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Swansea City, where Keshi Anderson's third goal of the season secured a late point for Neil Critchley's men.

West Brom will be looking to get back to winning ways themselves, having suffered defeat at Huddersfield Town on Saturday which was their fourth loss of the season.

The visitors sit in third place ahead of the match - seven places and six points better off than Blackpool.

The Manager:  Valerien Ismael

Six months into his job at West Brom, Valerien Ismael has guided West Brom to third place, as the Baggies hope for an immediate bounce back from their relegation last season. Ismael joined West Brom in the summer following an impressive 12 months at Barnsley, where the Frenchman guided the Yorkshire side to the play-off semi-finals. Prior to his time in England, Ismael managed in Germany, Greece and Austria and enjoyed a successful time as player, representing the likes of Crystal Palace, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich.

The Key Man: Alex Mowatt
26-year-old Alex Mowatt is enjoying the best years of his career to date after following Ismael to West Brom from Barnsley in the summer. A goal scoring central midfielder, Mowatt has three Championship strikes to his name this season in victories over Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City. A Yorkshire man, Mowatt came through the ranks at Leeds United to go on and make over 100 appearances for the Club before his move to Barnsley in January 2017.
