Report: Swansea City 1 Blackpool 1
Blackpool secured a deserved point on the road in a 1-1 draw at Swansea City.
Keshi Anderson's late strike ensured Blackpool took a share of the spoils, in a tactical match with chances few and far between.
Blackpool thought they were in on goal in the opening minute, as a ball over the top from Demetri Mitchell found Jerry Yates, but the forward just couldn't time his run to get through on goal.
Yates again had a good opportunity early in the second half, with Keshi Anderson's ball over the top threading him through, but his shot took a slight deflection and was saved by the goalkeeper.
Despite Blackpool's chances, Swansea stood firm and took the lead on the half hour mark. The in-form Joel Piroe turning and firing an effort into the top corner from 25 yards out to give Swansea a half-time lead, from what was their only real notable effort on goal in the opening 45 minutes.
Half-time: Swansea City 1 Blackpool 0
Blackpool have showed tremendous character and spirit already this season, and being a goal down at half-time didn't hamper them. Opportunities were few and far between once again, but with the introduction of fresh legs in the likes of Josh Bowler and Shayne Lavery in the second half, Blackpool were threatening.
At the other end, Ethan Laird had claims for a penalty waived away on the hour mark after a coming-together with James Husband.
Blackpool were pushing and got their deserved equaliser five minutes from time through the in-form Keshi Anderson. A corner kick whipped in by Reece James was batted away by the goalkeeper, with Anderson given the time and space to chest the ball down and fire into the net from inside the penalty area to ensure Blackpool snatched a late point and continued to gather momentum.
